Lia Carter, soprano soloist, began her singing career at age 10. She studied Musical Theater at New York University, with an emphasis on voice performance.

She made her New York opera debut in the lead role of the critically acclaimed premier of Aaron Copland's "A Second Hurricane." She has performed on and off Broadway and in
Europe as a soloist, and was a featured soloist in the Columbia Pictures film "Zelly and Me" starring
Isabella Rossellini.

She has also recorded numerous voice-overs for children's cartoons. She performs frequently for benefits near her home in Fairfield Connecticut, and is a soprano soloist at the Greenfield Hills Congregational Church.
